Ordered a new key and put all bikes up for winter. I will be working out of town 'til Dec 1 no days off.
There's a guy on e-bay with keys and if you know your key code he cuts it before sending it.

OZ: Ken got pinched ! by a plainclothes car. And if he was in Victoria you could add the bang bang as an afterthought.

Default Confession time - Gone to the dark side

Hi Guys,

After 4 years and 40,000 miles I have retired the 'old girl' with just shy of 97,000 miles on the clock.
Now don't panic, she is still in one piece and parked up outside the front door as usual. However she is now looking for a new owner.
I have gone to the dark side and replaced her with a ZZR1100 purely due to the miles and weather I cover in the UK. Tried to get a CBR1100XX but just couldn't get the right one at the right price.
If any one is interested in another CBR1000F in the UK, she is for sale. A 1993 with 96,700 miles on the clock.
As we will still have a Honda (Bitchers_pencil's CBR600F) I hope you don't mind if I drop in from time to time and for a chat. Cheers for the chats, advice and bikership.

Rich

Awwwwww! The ZZR1100 isn't the Dark Side Rich, is the slightly Dark Grey Side. A great bike.

Keep visiting the forum

Oh! and I fixed the slip above.

Cheers, SB

Oh man the zzr1100 is the one bike I would drop my cbr for in a heartbeat! I was just showing my wife those the other night (she's so tired of bikes )

More power, slightly lighter, AND better mpgs?! Sign me up!

Well I finally succumbed to the horrendous peer group pressure that this forum exudes - and bought a video camera thingy that can be mounted anywhere..................(a bit like a girl I knew years ago.)

I'll pull it out of it's packaging tonight and tell you all about it. It's true HD, waterproof case, about a half dozen mounting options (see above) and looks 'the business'.

This is in anticipation of the 'Bear's Vietnam Redux' in November 2013.

Cheers, SB

Been looking at my front rotors and was considering buying some new ones. The cheapest I could find were around 150 US so I decided to refurbish the ones I have. They were all rusty and crap looking in the centre. Anyhow I took them off this morning and gave them a sand blast with bi carb soda and went from there. I got them out of the oven about an hour ago after curing the high temp paint. I also polished the bolt heads and it will be ready for re assembly tmrw. I also took the chance to clean the hub which was totally covered in brake dust and looked pretty bad. I was going to go with gold in the centre of the rotor but I couldn't get that colour so I went with the aluminium look instead which isn't over stated. It certainly looks better than it did.
