Easy peasy lemon squeezy. Reading about it is more complicated than actually doing it.

Rear suspension linkage. Last year i noticed a squeak from this so i have taken the linkage off & cleaned all the muck off (very satisfying)

While i was that far in & the swingarm has always needed a respray that came off too. So lots of cleaning, respray & greasing before refit next weekend.

The nuts/bolts on the linkage were rather tight but once loosened the bolts slid out fine & the Swing arm bolt was well greased & slid out with 1 finger so all good there. I cant feel any play in the bushes/ bearings before or after removal so should be ok next week.

I did the same late last year Rob. I had a worn bush on the top of the shock that was giving me the chits so I decided to replace it. While I was at it I re sprayed the swing arm a nice silver and cleaned the linkages. All the bearings were good so I just re packed the grease in them and cleaned up the linkage parts. It was surprising how well it all went back together. An easy job really. I do need a new shock one day though. I also replaced the rubber chain guide while I was at it as its the only way you can do it. Cheers.
