Hey:

Why the 87 has an alloy one already and they never go bad? The shop got backed up with a priority project while I was out and about that took 6 weeks to complete. Hopefully the new ver 3 Tee will be done this week and I can get over to ADCUT and pick up the new ver 2 brake rotors for you. (ver one stops good but goes thru brake pads a little to often, it was decided as a group concensus) so ver 2 will have 1mm less removed from the whole triangular slot, all the way around. So thats what you will be getting, with the matching 87-92 rear, I'll keep the fronts that have been done before you went on holiday, as spares for my bike.

Default 300,000 mile mark

Hey:

My daily CBR 1000F just hit the 300,000 mile mark this week and then some. I took it on a local NC trip and was 80 miles past it when I looked down to see if I had got to it yet, I was having a little to much fun riding it I guess.

Hey:

Yes, They are Bordo, and should work out better for you guys as the $ to $ between USA and AUS is even better for you guys now. They have been made since Aug but have been waiting on the Tig welding machine containers to free up as they had been in use 24/7 since then. Plus they need a different setup for stainless than the alloys they have been doing so they can't just squeeze them in. As soon as they have the first 5 done I'll get them out to you.

Hey:

Whats funny is that they (CBR600F4I & CBR1000F) are only a few of the bikes I can imagine riding that far as sport touring bikes,(VFR being the other). After my fun with the CBR11000XX, I had a F4 that I used to ride back and forth to work in 2000 and 2001, it was very nice and I highly recommend them for anybody wanting a good comfortable 600 bike, and it was alot of fun having, till I purchased a RC-51 that I spent every penny on, modding and getting how I wanted, then crashed it.

The CBXes were ridden on sunny days back then, the CBR900RR was a track bike again and the VF1000R & CBR1000F kind of sat some, but had to step up when the RC took the topple and I wondered why I had spent all that money on it.

On the RC-51 I really did not ever feel really comfortable on it, but was still fun for short periods. I always felt good on the F2, F3, F4, CBX, CB1100R, CBR900RR, VF1000R and CBR1000F but never that much on the CBR1000RR, XX or RC, they just did not fit me well for any distance. The VF1000R will be gone this week, and spare parts will get sold off as well. Leaving me with the CBR900RR/1100XX turbo combo project, 5 CBXes, 5 CBR1000Fs, a stone stock VF11000 Magna and A CX650 cafe racer that has sat in stowage for awhile now.

None of the other bikes I have will get the miles put on them that My 80 CBX or 88 CBR1000F have gotten, over half a million miles on both since new. As I start to thin the heard these 2 will stay no matter what. They just click with me, I have tried newer, faster, lighter and more exotic but these bikes just do it for me like no others, we just click. I think that is the way to go for hi miles you have to enjoy riding the bike....

Dub
