Exactly how much Baroosa Red have you guys put away?
That TK, is a very good mate of mine who goes by the moniker 'The Wiz' - go figure huh?

Anyway, I've done quite a few overseas journeys - on bikes - with the Wiz, the Himalaya, Turkey, Morocco and the Dalmatian Coast including Stelvio Pass in Northern Italy. He is a bloody quick, exceptionally smooth rider who would put most of us to shame. Great bloke too, he designed and built part of a complex mechanism for catching bugs for my PhD work.

Here we all are atop the pass From L to R, The Wiz, Mike Ferris (he organised the tour), Theo the Marmot Hunter and SB

Cheers, SB

Default What have you done to your CBR 1000f today? Nothing.

What have you done to your CBR 1000f today? Nothing yet ..but...

Having just said goodbye to SebastionBear and his 1,500km interstate visit to us here in Victoria, Australia; I'm out of here!

I've just loaded the bike for a 1,000km interstate trip north. I'm meeting up with some mates who are on an 8,000 km trip to Darwin in the north of Australia, and back.

On the way I'm diverting to Forum member OzzyAl who lives in central country Victoria. I've never met OzzyAL but we've "spoken" through the forum. I'm taking along my CarbTune Pro kit so OzzyAl and I can do a carb sync job on his bike. It's great to have the opportunity to meet other forum members in the flesh.

All be good and kind to each other whilst I'm away!!! No

C'mon Naga, you know us, we'll all be good while you're away.

I even promise not to giggle too much about you missing out on Sebs' new find.

You know the drill though, trip report and photo's please.

Have fun, keep safe. Shiny side up at all times.

Cheers
TK

Wasn't today but took the ol' gal in for a suspension tune up at MCT Suspension .

Had to wait quite a while to get the bike in the shop, about 6 weeks they're that busy, but well worth the wait.

New fork springs, new oil. Also found the bump stop piston fitted upside down in one fork leg. Combined with the original wishy washy springs in meant the forks were bottoming out about 25mm short of full travel, and bottoming out hard too, no hydraulic cushion at the end of the stroke.

Many thanks to the lads, they know their stuff alright!

Not really anything that I did to my 1000F today, but I took (and passed) the Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic Rider Course this weekend. It was a great course and I'd recommend it to anybody looking to gain a little more skill and knowledge... Money well spent!
