Picked these puppies up last night for fitty bucks on the bay for my 1990
Might have to drill & tap 'em for bar weights tho..... still nice deal imo

Did ya fit em yet M?

They look very nicely engineered. Cool tool.
I'm very happy with my VFR bars. Changed my cane riding for ever. They look one step beyond. Hope you've got the weights in hand, metaphorically speaking.

got the oil changed on the ninja250 and the 1000F today. leaving mine half assembled at this point so i can get new tires on it. found where the leak was in the rear tire: right down the middle of the tread. looks like i ran ever a rock and just punctured a hole right in the middle of the tire.

rode it around the block a couple times while the rear still held air. not sure that it likes this cooler spring weather as it's running pretty lean. now im sad that i can keep riding it.

Nice , but look a bit different ( they tighten under the bar, on mine they tighten opposite side to the bar & mine have the vfr "knuckle" on the
underside)VFR 750 1992 is what I got ..... hmmmm but if they are 41 mm hey you got yourself a tidy deal on them I'd say. Just concerned
they could be the 39mm vfr bars .

Just checked mine ...... yep they tighten opposite side to the bar

Henry no .......... they did not get here yet , middle of next week so I'll report back then
Also ordered up two sets of Foam Grips ........ I have a problem with my left arm at the
moment ( no smart comments pls .......arseholes ) so I have to get those waaay soft
foam grips to help me with it ..........

Your right Sprock !

The bars turned up and yes they are only 39mm, i didnt know there were 39mm ones thought only 41mm and 42mm after v-tec.

Never mind just try to resell (as 39mm) and find some 41mm.

Bad luck Rob.
Sharp eyed Sprock had you prepared for bad news before they arrived.

And yeah Sprock, what's with the limp wrist soft grip thing? Dr Pete has the prescription correct IMO. Bath in it twice a day and there'll be nothing left to go limp.
I know, I specialise in being and arsehole. You can't insult me further.
You entered any blind competitions lately?

Back to the thread subject..... I've just been enjoying my new Dunlop rubber. Those Q2's are seriously excellent. Just about scrubbed in and almost the whole tread radius has touched terra firma.
Contemplating starting on refurbing my spare cylinder head and barrels next week ready for a swap over at some point soon.

Dayum Dadarob I was hoping it was not so despite appearances.

Pete and "enry" ..... take a ******** run and jump

EDIT : May 8th

Been at the bars all day long ---- added foam grips to both bikes
The 1990 got the new bars and the 1993 also got a throttle lock

The bars for the 1990 were a bit of a pain in the azz, the dimples
for the control "****" had to be drilled in to fit the controls propely.
but they were alum bar stock so not so bad I suppose. Running
'em without weights for now, see how they go will add the weights
back if there's any bar buzz at all.

New bars are smashing , very solid and extremely high quality.
Just wish I knew who the manufacturer was ! ?? ...Ebay seller
had no idea.

Man, they look really nice. I love the double adjustability. You can get them exactly where you want them.
Puzzling that there's no manufacturers name on them. Perhaps a one-off by some engineering student. A prototype that went no further.
Glad you're so happy with the position. Should help the limp wrists eh?

How did you make sure they're both symmetrically aligned? That's the hard bit when there's no positive peg or locator as found on the original clip ons.
