Here's an idea. If the key comes out int he ON postion they take it out and keep it in your pocket. This way you won't loose it.

Another thing is to keep the key as free as you can. Don't have it bunched up with a handfull of others. This can over time wear out the lock.

Sometimes the best ideas are the simplest. Like, why didn't I think of that?

Thanks guys. Some great ideas. I think it is going to be the above, would hate to have what happened to Trips. Key in on, then out in pocket. And certainly the cheapest way to go!
