Hurricane damaged in theft attempt
#52
They use to hang horse thieves in this country. Where are we going?
bickebok, she looks good.
Make sure you install the new seat latch correctly. I was rushing and put mine in backwards and it is a very big pain in the back side to get the seat back off at that point.
NY state has the toughest hand gun permit laws in the states and I had to get the NRA involved to get mine. Oddly enough no one honers it, not even Texas.

Gun laws vary so much from state to state it's crazy. I bought a pistol off a police officer in VA last year, (hell of a nice guy, btw) and he was so afraid to ship it because of crazy laws that he just decided to drive it up here to me. Then he calls and says "MD gun law is really screwy... how do you think I should pack it whan I transport through MD?" And this is an LEO! I'm like, "Put it in the trunk in a locked box, without ammo"
bicklebok, I'm with you. The problem is that criminals don't care at all about laws, so what it does is put the average law-abiding citizen at a disadvantage. It's the reason that the only time in my life I've really wished I had a gun, was when I was in MD and couldn't legally carry. It's a dam shame. We play by the rules, so we get the short end of the stick.
I'm a member of a couple sizeable online gun owner communities, btw, and we're certainly not alone. I can't stress enough how important it is to get involved with legislation in your state, and try to make change.
Anyway, happy to hear you got your stuff back and the situation didn't escalate. Good on you for standing up, man.
