Ronnie, that is absolutely awesome!

That is seriously like a one in a million shot. Good for you to go looking, though, or it never would have ended as well.
I've never heard a story end as well as this one to tell you the truth.

I hope they all get nailed to the wall for this.

BTW, you're 'Cane looks fine. Did good work putting that one back together... I can't even tell it was ripped apart..

It was an absolute miracle!! The chances of me riding through that big neighborhood and seeing somebody riding one of them.

Whats sad is, I did as a police report and gave the VIN number of the honda 70, but when they ran the number yesterday, it didnt come back as stolen. There were no police looking for those bikes, yet its riding on the street illegally(not street legal, no helmet, etc)and if they would have stopped him riding it on the street, it wouldnt have come back stolen. When youre a victim of a crime, if you dont do something yourself, nothing will happen.

I can tell you guys this. I had my pistol and there was no way in hell they were going to get away. Im sure you guys know how I felt!

My daughter is so happy to get her motorcycle back!!

I know EXACTLY how you felt, Ron.

As far as the bike not being registered as stolen.. I know how you feel there, too. That's absolute BS. How the hell can you find something that isn't even in the system.
I don't know the specifics in this situation, but I know how you feel.
They reported my stolen stuff in the newspaper and the write-up was all wrong! Even on the off chance that someone finds my stuff, because of the newspaper and police report, they're looking for the wrong chit!!
So aggravating...
They printed the wrong manufacturer of the CD player with one of the serial numbers wrong, etc.. and made me an hour late for work for that.

Hell, my buddy had some stuff stolen that ended up being found and reported, and the cops actually had it in "evidence".
My buddy still didn't get it back!

Default Know how you feel............be cautious ....really

Yep we sure do, gotta be careful though with the Citizens apprehension appraoch method
..............for the most part unless you are being threatened directly (have a witness) or
it's taking place on property you own (have a witness) , leave it to those in enforcement
who are paid to take the risk and all the legal chit that goes with it.

Ain't worth having the perp and the PD jammin' it to ya later.

Troutman your Buddy's entitled to have it back within one year or after the case is disposed
whichever comes first ...........I believe

Bicklebok:

It's really cool that your daughter got her bike back! What a fluke you spotted it too. Thieving ba5tards are everywhere now and your ****'s just not safe anymore. They blame their addictions for their actions and seem to think it's ok. It's bloody well not right! Mate, you'll have to rig up an alarm or high tensile chains that are near impossible to cut without a grinder. Either that or a couple of fangy dogs.

Good stories about the guy trying to steal the car and pizza (or is that pissa) box man. I bet he uses the bin everywhere he goes now and wets himself every time he hears a click!
