Rino cans on the standard tubes, other modifcations are a K&N and needle adjustment.

Some brands of pipes are hightone, some are deeptone, if you want a specific tone,
youtube or forumers are a very good help.

A big 1000F just begs for 2 big cans, a 4-1 system makes it look smaller

I fitted the same V&H system to my '94 and it sounded really bad! Loud but tinny.
After a few goes re-packing (with no result) I bought a lenght of slightly smallerbaffle tube and got my local car exhaust man to flare me an adaptor. I also removed the short, smaller tube from the inside of the pipe at the end.
Because of this I was able to fit more packing in and I've got a muchbetter sound. It doesn't seem to resonate so much when sneaking through town, but sounds really wild when I open it up.
Give this a try as it is very cheap compared to a new can and sounds quite good.
Don't pack the wadding in too tight either as this stops it soaking up enough sound.

I hope this helps, Dave.

My first vid so be gentle, although it does sound slightly deeper in real life.

That's much like my Two Brothers. It is a deeper sound. The low tones are hard to pick up with the small mic.

+1 MarkR, you got the goods on Shadow1, I will have to keep a closer eye on him now. He says he is going to post a clip with his exhaust, lets just hope he washes his bike first.
