Does it effect your lighting on the road? I have 6000k HIDs, so would that reduce visibility?

Thanks.
i have blackouts on my car and yes it does drastically change the amount of light, even with HID's, i ended up putting fog lights on my car to help plus my covers remove very easily, i would just get removable ones incase u find yourself in a situation you'd rather have more light than looks...who can see them at night anyways? :P

I just called up the company and cancelled the order. I'm glad it wasn't a painstaking process. Thanks for your input.

how blacked out is it? are they sprayed on or just laminex? i've never heard of anybody having a problem with laminex.

another thing you could do is smoke the housing...

those are really dark... the laminex is quite a bit lighter tint. if they made some for the f3 i would rock them. something like 35-40% tint i would be fine with. it looks like yours are only about 10%. since they don't make anything for the f3, i'll just end up smoking my housings. should look pretty good.

I have a 2006 cbr 1000rr I paid 10 bucks for precut smoked out tint just like you would put on your car windows. I paid 20 to have them steamed on and it change the look of my bike 100%. I have stock headlights as of right now and it really didn't make a difference in my vision and here in Indiana I have been around a lot of cops and they haven't said anything about them except how good they look.

Reviving 3 month old thread! What about getting a mesh type screen. Like so:

From a distance it would look tinted out, but how much would it affect light output?

you can get this stuff called VHT nightshade. I put it on the tails on my car and when the lights light up they're pretty visible, but i made it pretty dark on my tails.

if you used a couple light coats on your headlights i'm sure it would be fine. you would just want to make sure that the coat is even so your headlights don't seem blotchy at night
