Default Headlight Tinting

I've seen some bikes with the headlights tinted black to make it look stealthy and to blend in with the paint. Has anyone done it?

Does it effect your lighting on the road? I have 6000k HIDs, so would that reduce visibility?

Thanks.

the eisiest way to tint is if you have access to a spray gun some clearcoat and black basecoat or what ever color you want to tint it .mix some of your base with your clear till it's just becomming transparrent then spray it on your part each coat will darken it more keep spraying till you get your disired darkness let it dry and your done here's a pic of my headlight tinted just for eg.

I would reduce your lighting drasyically I would believe.
You should look at a headlight cover that you can remove for nighttime driving.

if your running hid kits there's not much change as long as you can still see the bulb . you only want to tint the clear till it has very little color

Ooh. Thanks for the suggestions. I'm not too keen on spraying the headlights. They are expensive to replace if I mess it up somehow.

Thanks csp. That was exactly what I was looking for. I placed an order today. Hopefully I'll get it by the end of the week.
