Default Race Tech fork springs fitment question

Question for those who installed race tech fork springs. Did you need spring compressor to "shoehorn" Race Tech springs? I have just taken everything apart and noticed that their springs are 2 inches longer than stock. This (http://www.bayarearidersforum.com/fo...d.php?t=147565) awesome walk through doesn't mention it but the generic race tech instructions state you might need one depending on fork type and model. I'll be attempting to install them tomorrow on my 01 F4i so your prompt response is appreciated.

Thanks

Eh, I guess I should've posted this in "current models"...mods please move if possible

Follow up question since I'm posting, what fork oil did you go with? Anything specific that stands above the rest and complement Race Tech fork springs?

Springs should be same lenght. If they are not you might have to cut the upper spacer shorter. Use whatever oil is spec in the manual, thing its 10W with OEM valving.

Called Race Tech to confirm and spring + spacer should be same length. I'm going with 10W per manual, will adjust if necessary after next track day.
