Race tech springs
im thinking about replacing my springs on my 02. My bike has 25,000 miles so it needs some maintenance and i want an upgrade on suspension so this is what im thinking. i want some stiffer springs. i weigh about 155-160 depends on how much i eat that month. i have a freaking huge metabolism.
Front
RT FRK SPR 36.7x34.5x315 .90kg/mm
Stock Fork Spring Rate: .660 kg/mm (stock)
Rear
RT SHK SPR 60x52.2x154 16.0kg/mm
Stock Shock Spring Rate: 14.2 kg/mm (stock)
My main question is when doing this should i replace the valves and seals in the front. the back has an external spring so i know i dont have to do it there. also should i replace the fluid inside the shock?
Does anyone have any information on how hard it is to replace these or should i just take it to the shop and have them do it for convienience. im pretty good with tools and the know how.

Forks are fairly simple first of all I would do valves, rods and springs: and all new seals(dust and fork), and fluid because those 2 things usually have to be done every so often anyways so while you have it apart go for it
depends on ur mech knowledge, there are some good diy on this forum for replacing the fronts. the back is a walk in the park, if your goign to revalve the rear then save up and get a shock already done and upgrade ur springs. the front is night and day, replace ur springs and valves in the front and you will notice a big diff, make urself feel safer and buy some forks offline on ebay and rebuild them and then when u get time replace them from ur old forks that way no down time from it. plus you have an extra set of forks if you dump her or what not. race tech is great and there support is awesome, call them if you need any help there always willing to answer any wuestions you have.
