Default Painting My Gas Cap

Hey guys, sorry if this is posted in the wrong spot but i needed advice. Im thinking about getting my gas cap on my f4i painted black to match the side fairing and everything obviously. and I have a friend who is a professional so i wont be spray painting it so it will be legit. I edited this picture on my computer of what it would look like roughly but it will be gloss black not flat like the picture. What do you guys think? Thanks!!!

Probly should go with powder coating. Wouldn't paint of any kind wear off? Especially since you use the key and will scratch and chip?

Yeah its definitely a black gas cap, but I dont wanna buy another one so I wanna just get it done :] but yeah I think it actually will be powdercoated. My friend works at keystone and welds and paints rims so he could powdercoat it

I ended up painting mine with paint enamel I had lying around.

Time will tell if it holds up, and if not I'll just get it powdercoated.
