Skitching Advice, Tips???
So I'm looking to start skitching. Not sure if it really matters but i ride a '94 F2. Wondering what tips and/or advice you guys had. looking to start with side skitching* then WHEN i get comfortable eventually some skitching off the back of the bike. Just curious on where to start, pointers, etc.
Thanks alot, Ryan

well, it's a lot easier doing it at higher speeds, but I don't know if that's the best way to start... I started slow, and about dumped the bike because it's not very stable at slower speeds.
Start with side saddle, then put your feet down and support most of your body weight on the bike. Climb back up the bike until you feel your ***** drop and start planting your feet and it will kick your feet up in the air, and then it's up to you to make sure they get back on the pegs. Good luck! I think this is a fun stunt, and all the cagers will think it's a big deal...

capn', skitching is basically hanging off the bike and dragging your feet. (either off the side or the back)
We always used to call it skitching when we'd sneak up on a car on our skateboards and hang on for the ride. It's just as dangerous as it sounds and it tended to really pizz people off....LOL..

ehh i've seen people slide on the side of their bikes (mind you using steel plates attached to their shoes for glide) and i've also seen people walk their bike at slower speeds by holding the rear seat and running behind it. I highly suggest take your time on that it because I f***ed up my first bike (and myself) by skiing without steel plates.

steel plates imo are useless and for show. This isn't the biker boyz movie. I've skitched plenty now and never used plates of any sort. Your not putting your FULL weight on your feet, untill you jump back on like Fizzy said, takes some ***** to try, but once you do it's def an experience.
