RC51 Half-Faired Streetfighter Project

Rode into work yesterday, but it's only about a 15 minute ride.
Took a quick jaunt down to the Jersey shore today. Still a bit cold out there so I only made it halfway down the shoreline, but figured the season's just starting so decided to head back early. That and I've discovered with the new seating position I'm gonna need a more comfy seat or a re upholstery job.

A few updates. I was in a rush to finish tracking out my S1000RR so I was kind of in a rush with the RC, but I still took the time to clean up some wiring (routing/splitting/extending), rearranging my cooling system setup, and added a couple of other functional mods:
Ditching the old headlight setup. I liked it, but the made in China fairing was starting to crack up from the vibrations of the RC's mighty V-twin. This kinda looks like a retarded robot from Futurama, but now that I'm hoping running on all LEDs will keep my charging system from having issues. These are all CREE LEDs so they should be nice and bright.
I got rid of the stock intake snorkel so I had to fabricate a bracket for the speedometer. My first time "making" anything so it took forever as all I had were my trust dremel, drill and bench grinder. I'm hoping it doesn't crack under the pressure, but now that I've made one, creating a better one if this one fails should take half the time.
Minor thing, but the bar end mirrors I had were teh suck. The CB1000R has clever mirror mounts for the clutch/brake master cylinders so I just got a pair of them along with the CB1000R mirrors as in my experience OEM mirrors are best bang for buck and don't move around from wind and vibrations.
Now all I need is a bit more paint and I should be alright for this season. This bike will probably never truly be "done", but this winter was plenty fun with two projects going.

They're never "fully done". I dig the new lights. It looks like a pissed off cyborg. Plus, those light's will really let you see where you're going in the dark too, I bet!
I always like when you can bring the nose closer to the bike. Ditching the half fairing takes care of that.
I feel like an ***. I just looked at the picture you posted and said "Whoa, when did he switch to a single radiator set up?" I re-read the thread and realized that was in the first post....
Anyways, if I never mentioned it before - That's one of the best mods on a naked RC51. It really sets it off. How does it cool now compared? Does it get a little hotter in traffic? Or is there no difference? (An RC51 is still on my to-do list)

Traffic on a hot day is definitely a concern. I'm hoping the new dual SPAL setup I'm using will solve that issue. When I'm moving I definitely see cooler running temperatures.
There is another option from some aftermarket companies, but with the track season starting I don't have $1000 to spend on it. There's always next winter's tear down and build up.
