RC51 Half-Faired Streetfighter Project

New brake lines that actually reach. I'll figure out a better way to route 'em once this project hits stage 2 over the winter. We're actually a distributor for these guys now so if anyone likes what they see or if they want to get a group buy together, LMK.
On a side note, I discovered my rear brake master is dead... I wondered why my rear brake felt weird. Anyways, will be ordering a rebuild kit at work tomorrow and finishing up some wiring work afterwards. Every time I take a step forward with this project I seem to be taking two steps back, but I won't let it discourage me too much. Hopefully I can get around to getting my radiator brackets made by the weekend so I can do some mock ups for the radiator setup.

Didn't have a chance to get to the machine shop for the radiator brackets, but I did make some progress today. I finished wiring up the tail lights n' signals (decided to finally teach myself how to solder connections, it was a long and arduous journey) and put on the tail, figured out how I'm gonna route the radiator hose that goes to the left side of the bike so I could finally put the air box back in (cleaned my K&N filters while I was at it), and I cut up my lower fairing and made a neat little belly pan type of deal.
All I'm waiting for now are the morimoto projectors so I can bake my headlights back together, get a set of HIDs, and of course the everlasting radiator mounting issue. Now that the bike is in a better condition to travel, I can actually bring the bike to the machine shop so I don't have to makeshift cardboard templates.
Almost there!! WOOOO!!!!

I was considering going with a different style, but 1) I want to retain some of the RC51 "identity" and 2) the intake snorkel plays a big part in the fuel system so to eliminate it I'd have to figure out a way to reroute the plumbing... over the winter I can get some dyno time and figure out what kind of flow I'm getting and whether there's another option I can explore.
