I've uploaded a few more pictures of both bikes on my flicker page.

I put in a new battery and it seemed to solve all the electrical issues that I was having. I now have my iv bottle of fuel going through the filter and fuel pump and everything seems to be working great. I bought a new air filter and scrubbed the air box clean. The space under the tank disappeared fast once I put the air box on which has forced me to rethink how my electrical is arranged.

My major obstacles at this point are managing the wiring in a clean way, getting a working rear caliper, and finishing the body work and paint.

One of my coworkers rides that same bike to work Dues. You can start a thread in the Other Bike Chat section: Other Bike Chat - CBR Forum - Enthusiast forums for Honda CBR Owners That is what I did with my BMW build.

Here is what i started out with:

Here is where Im at so far:

My plan is to paint the frame bright red, cover the seat and tank with 3M carbon fiber vinyl, and clean up the front instruments and headlight area.

I need to rewire to extend the electronics to fit under the seat on a plastic pan I cut out. Lots of tedious work.

I'm diggin it! My 83 Nighthawk build has a square headlight and square dash just like that. Round headlight switch classed it up alot. I also bought a round digital speedo to install.

Dave I found out more about using bike computers for speedo's on motorcycles. The sigma computers read 140+mph Sigma BC800 or BC700 bike computer. They sell for about 20 bucks and 10 bucks for the extension and are far more accurate than our stock speedo's. They make wireless but theyre more expensive and sometimes dont work properly depending on interference from other electronics on the bike.

Here are some pics of the tail with a fresh coat of primer. I also fiberglassed some more sections of the side covers. Hopefully I can get them cleaned up to post some pics tomorrow.

I filled the bike up with fluids and tightened everything down so I could take it for a test run finally. Test run just told me I have a lot more work to do unfortunately. The throttle response was a little off at first but it seemed like the longer the bike ran the better it was getting. I think the engine just needed to clear out a few years of sitting around.

I noticed while riding that there was something off with the swingarm assembly so I'll have to take it all apart tonight and see what I f'd up there. Here is a pick of the bike after taking it for a spin.
