I like Toyotas more than Dodges but you can clearly see this was a settup at a Toyota Dealership. Look at the guy comming out of the dodge truck ( Toyota Salesman ). He was just hammering on the dodge making the tire spin cuasing loss of traction. I'm not saying the Toyota wouldn't of won but this was all a settup. The Dodge never had a fair chance...

I love Toyota, but I drive a Dodge Cummins everyday, and I just cannot make sense of this video in my head. My truck is a beast, and Toyotas have always seemed to be underpowered to me(of course I've never driven a Tundra). In fact, I followed a yoter on the way to Moto GP and he couldn't haul up the hills like I could...oh well.

correct me if I'm wrong but I think that Dodge was a gas engine not the diesel... that would make a pretty significant difference in torque
AlsoIdidntdoit5150, the SRT10 Ram is actually not rated to tow anything so I don't think it would be any better in this, even with 505 Hp

this video was to show the power of teh new 2008 tundra and its new 5.7 liter V8 with something like 400 hp. it will tow 10,500 pounds and its a 1500 series. that looked like a gas hemi dodge 5.7 it certainly wasnt a diesel. let me say though, the new Tundra has incredible power and towing ability compared to the previous Tundra models.

Definatelly I agree, Why would you keep mashing the gas if you were spinning the tires. You cannot pull anything if you are spinning.

I remember watching an episode of TopGear where a new Barabus Merc with 800 ft-lbs. of torque LOST a tug-o-war challenge to 8 MEN because the tires broke traction. Plus (since the video doesn't show it), the Toyota could have been in 4-wheel drive too. (who knows though).
I'm not mad at the Toyota, but a more fair fight would have been better.
