RE: rc51 backwards
I would have sued the shop for neglagence causing damage to person or property, damanded a new swingarm, chain, and front sprocket. Then they would have to pay for a certified Honda mechanic to check the entire bike before I would ride it again. I read that entire post and I have never heard of a mechanic or shop that would do somthing like that, and then acctually charge for the work, thats insane I would have erupted into fire and brimstone in that shop. The RC 51 is a bike that only a doctor of a mechanic should be working on, it is a f#%$ing HRC race bike for Gods' sake.

RE: rc51 backwards
I gotta say negligence on the part of the technician - nay - mechanic who "installed" the new chain. Did he not learn anything at tech school? Test ride everything you work on!! This not only ensures the work that you did, but also is a way to see if there's anything else wrong with the bike that the customer may or may not have known about. But it is simply unbelieveable that any kind of tech wouldn't realize that the chain not only felt kinda funky when he was routing it but that it was about 1/2 a foot shorter than the old one????
