What Rossi/Burgess did was put them on the path of greatness in which they weren't before he came. Nor was Yamaha. Lets see where he takes Ducati ??? Ducati wanted Rossi years past and couldn't afford it at the time. Ducati isn't doing so bad considering they are a very small company compared to Honda, Kawasaki/Suzuki (Heavy Industries) and Yamaha. You'd think Kawasaki and Suzuki would be doing better seeing that finacially they are a huge company compared to Ducati.

while i agree that rossi did great things with honda....

they have been in the gutter ever since the 800cc change (minus this year)... therefore i disagree with the statement you originally made that rossi's lasting effects are still in the honda that is so successful today because of the disconnect in the last 4 years.

you'd think that suzuki after all the trouble they've had could get something together - or at least learn from their mistakes... and you'd at least think kawi would be racing - but idk...

i remember when i heard alvaro bautista was movin up to gp and riding for suzuki - i felt bad because i knew it'd be a dead end for him. i think he probably should have tried to race in moto2 for a season or two and tried to get a better ride in gp.

AMA needs all the help it can get, I wonder if there are stats some where to show what the attendance has been say the last 5 years? Like JSquid said, I think KTM is only racing in 3 races to develop a bike hopefully for next year. Hopefully Honda will return as well as Ducati. I like the racers, but to see 10 Suzukis, 2 Yahmahas (Factory) & 2 BMWs, 1 Honda & Buell (Privateer) not overly appealing...

Hop Stoner will be at the top of the podium this weekend. Don't beat me up but hope Simoncelli finishes in the top 3. He's had a ruff season, crashing people out, getting a few poles that he squandered everytime... Maybe he'll get one win this season. GO HONDA!!!

There is no Buell now. Erik does not own the name Buell hence its EBR racing. And its not a privateer. Erik owns the bike, builds the bike and pays Geoff Mays wages. EBR is a manufacture.... so more less factory ride.

Also I didn't say Rossi's development is still in the Honda. I said more or less is that when Rossi came they were in the dump's. Rossi very much so helped them in a big way. It got them on track and i'd imagine it helped for the future even after Rossi had left.

Hats of to Pedrosa, to come back off the injury & take the pole. Was shocked Stoner didn't block Lorenzo from passing him at the end. Was a good race!

Stoner didn't choose the right rear tire. It was going away. But yeah it was a great race. Laguna is next.

i know he was having issues with tire pressure as well. that was a great move by lorenzo on the last lap.

that waterfall corner on that circuit looks like it'd be sooo much fun to hit!

i didn't see moto2, because something on my dvr messed up - it was probably a bad storm or something that knocked out signal.

but 125 was awesome to watch. there's so many lines you can take, and those guys dice it out the entire time. i can't believe with the cameras they still declared it a tie! it sucks for zarco - but thats racing i guess.

and does anyone else find it funny that paris hilton's team is doing so well? say what you want, but she new the right team managers to hire. they've got 2 great riders, great mechanics, etc. i was pulling for vinales, but i knew once they didn't make a move on the second to last lap, that faubel and zarco were going to go by him and win on the last one.

SURPRISED!!! There are only 3 more rounds of AMA Superbike! Leguna Seca (MotoGP), Indy (MotoGP) & NJ Motorpark for a total of 9 rds. I guess they are really on hard times.

AMA isn't at Indy.
