Remember, they're both injured still, so I'm sure they were probably in a little bit of pain and a bit more tired. But you're right. He's won 4 in a row... it's hard to be positive for both of them. JLo's worried about matching the Repsols and Dani has to be worried about the rookie pulling too far ahead in the championship.

And, I'm glad Redding is going to GP. I bet he'll do pretty good.

Yeah, but I strongly doubt that they'll all land contracts. I know Forward is talking to Rea and Melandri. Didn't hear about Davies and Laverty - who are they talking to? Eugene would do very well on a GP bike I would imagine.

So back to Forward Racing. They're definitely leasing an M1 motor and the Yamaha chassis? So - that basically means it'll be a Tech3 bike physically (minus the ECU)? That should put them right up front, right (what with the extra fuel)? Or is there still going to be a huge gap with the electronics?

And it'd be some poetic justice if the bike he was on (if he came back) would be in front of a Ducati...

Yeah, that's my understanding and I'd wondered the same thing. I'm interested to see where this package fit's into the order. It would seem to be very competitive on the surface. Have they settled on any riders yet? I bet Edwards really wants the ride after struggling with that ride for a few years.

Yeah, I think Edwards kind of "deserves" it just to see if he can still hack it with those guys (he did pretty good in Brno)... They're really interested in Hayden, Rea, Aleix Esp., and Melandri. But I haven't heard anything on who they have deals with.

I really don't think Corti will be there next season - and if I was betting on it, I would bet against Colin too because of who they're talking to. Hayden, Melandri, Rea, Espargaro - that's some serious talent.

Does anyone think Aprilia will go full fledged factory? If not, I think all their progress to this point is a waste. They would get 9 motors for the first year. I'd love it if they would. Sure, they wouldn't probably be able to hang with Yamaha or Honda, but they're already close to Ducati. Aprilia was talking about doing pneumatic valves - with the extra rpms - they could definitely have a good fight with Ducati. Their electronics seam pretty good. Maybe if Aprilia did go full factory prototype - Aleix would stay with them (Aspar).

And that would line up 5 factories for 2015 with the addition of Suzuki.

Wow, this was just released on motogp.com

motogp.com · Aspar confirms new Aprilia package for 2014

So they are for sure running pneumatic valves for next year. They may even get a seamless tranny. And Aprilia is still deciding whether or not to run a spec-ECU

It looks like they're talking to Eugene Laverty, Nicky Hayden, and Sylvain Guintolli along with Aleix and Randy for next year.

Actually no the bike will not be like both Tech 3 bikes. Crutchlow's bike is closer to a factory bike and his team mates is not. Notice how the one can actually be a contender?? As far as Davies and Laverty is concerned they have both been tossed around the paddock. They are both riding very well this year and will be without rides as BMW is standing down.

Awesome battle between Marquez and Lorenzo for the win today. It seems to me that they (Emmett and Harris) made way too big a deal of Marquez's WUP crash. Although, the video of Crutchlow and the corner worker running away was an amazing video. It looked like they barely made it out of there in time before Marc's bike came flying! I bet it hurt, but it didn't really hinder his performance at all. Dani caught 'em, but had nothing for 'em when it mattered.

Anyone know specifically what happened to Dovi? Kind or hard to tell with the TV's glued to the front leaders on the last few laps. Smith, Hayden, and Dovi were all so close, and then Hayden went around Dovi and Smith as Dovi crashed - but that's just from the timing screen. Anyone know specifically what happened?

Rossi battling with Bautista was really good too.

So, what's the deal now with Rea out of the picture? He shattered his femur at Nurburgring. Poor guy. What's this mean for silly season? Would anyone still be interested in him. He would be ready for 2014 for sure, but would anyone take him because he'll have been out of the saddle for so long?

Yeah, that last corner reminded me of Rossi and Lorenzo in Barcelona, great stuff. Incredible how hard Lorenzo is having to push it to get ahead of Marquez. Usually rookies have a couple of big crashes, knock their confidence and the results drop off. Marquez has had big crashes at Assen, Mugello and now Silverstone but never seems to change anything for him. Terrible weekend for Cal, he just can't make it work at Silverstone. Maybe just tries too hard?

Moto2 was a great race too. As a Brit, it was fantastic to see Redding win at home.

Hell yeah Moto2 was awesome! I kept hoping and hoping he'd win. And I was happy to see Espargaro down there in 8th or 9th wherever he finished. Ever since those comments he made about Redding earlier this season, I root against Pol. I can't stand when people (who are behind) talk badly about the point leaders.

I think it has to do with Marquez being young. He's 20, right? He just bounces right back up and is good to go! They kept saying "Oh, this is the race where he won't win" - He almost did. It was a great battle. I watched the last lap a couple of times! Dani had nothing for either of them - he used his tires up by the time he caught them. It's not like JLo and Marc were going slow at the front, they were flying!

Doesn't look like Marquez will need surgery. He's getting a week off. I think it will be business as usual at Misano. I think that after you win 4 in a row, you start to believe you can win the world championship your rookie year - so I think he's going to go for it now at all costs.

Actually whats wrong is Honda moved forward with development to the point that Tech 3 Yamaha's,Bradl's Honda is even on par with the factory Yamahas. They need that transmission is what they need. They are working harder to ride the bikes.
