Do the arrows on the revised Indy circuit suggest they will be riding the circuit clockwise in the future?

Well, glad the WSBK is at Laguna so I still have a reason to go and hang out on the California coast.

It would appear. I think that it looks like it'd be a better track going that way and with the revisions. Looks like there could even be higher speeds down the straight with the bigger wind up.

this is my first year really following motogp so i cant comment about anything in previous years. But MM's contact with pedrosa isnt anything to penalize him for at all. its a shame that he crashed out, but its things like that, that actually make a race exciting to watch. the races lately have been, MM gets a 'bad' start and falls back to 2nd or 3rd while lorenzo gets up to 1st. MM sits back, watches lorenzo, and figures out where and when he can pass, passes lorenzo, and usually the race is over about half way through. definitely way more exciting to watch the guys in the middle of the pack.

as for the indy gp, the riders actually found the track to be better this year. its great that they are resurfacing the track as well, mainly for an indy car race but they are starting to have more races on the road course.

Silly season isn't over yet!

Where Nicky ends is now up for debate - he could actually be back at Ducati next year...

Nicky Hayden

Hayden's apparent deal with Aspar was not actually with Aspar. The deal would actually have Nicky being under contract with Aprilia - not Aspar.

Now, if that engineer does in fact go to Ducati - I'm not sure Hayden wouldn't reconsider staying at Ducati - it would be a clean slate - with probably a much better program PLUS Nicky could keep his current team because they're currently under retainer by Ducati, instead of having to get used to a new team...

I'm not sure if this changes anything for Aleix. But I'm also not sure how this deal would void Cal (because I'm sure Ducati would favor Dovi over Cal if that engineer would bring Nicky). Maybe Ducati would run 3 factory bikes? But that would mean having to lose one of the Pramac bikes.

The whole thing could be opened up again. Holy crap, that's exciting!

I'm not sure it really is "poor Nicky" - that article shows that there is a HUGE interest in Nicky next year - and the best part is that it's a technical director that wants Nicky Hayden - either at Aprilia (which the deal was almost done) - or if he moves to Ducati - which means it's more of a long term commitment than just one contract cycle.

And even if that doesn't work out - Honda America wants to step in and get Nicky on a Honda production racer. They weren't going to come to the table for just anyone - only Nicky. Aspar is now talking directly to HRC. If Nicky were to be on a Honda production racer - I imagine he'd be pretty high up on the pecking order for the production guys. I still think the Honda production racer won't be as competitive as the Aprilia could have been, nor as competitive as the NGM. But still, there's worse teams to ride for. And what if - just what if - he were to end up back at Ducati next year on a full prototype. Dall'Inga did say if he did go to Duc, he'd practically clean house and start from the ground up. I still don't understand how that will work with other riders (Dovi, Cal, Iannone, and Spies)....

That's pretty good prospects if you think about it. And it's really exciting for sure. What if Dall'Inga goes to Ducati? What, or who will he get rid of?....

Penalty decision in:

Marc gets one penalty point (it's really a slap on the wrist). No effect on the championship and there's no back of the grid start or anything. However, one more penalty point and it would be a back of the grid start.

Honda, though, is docked 25 points for the constructors championship for a badly placed TC wire that was deemed unsafe.

Dani may have just screwed himself. Honda came out bad on that deal - and because it was Dani Pedrosa/Alberto Puig that made such a big deal out of it - he could have just shot himself in the foot big time with his own team. And Marc is another Spanish rider... who is now more popular than Pedrosa is.... I don't think this is good for him, considering it's Repsol (Spanish team) and it hurt him with the manufacturer

^^^^^^^ Seems like a fair decision to me.

Yeah maybe DP has damaged himself more than MM.

This year was probably the best chance he had to win the championship.

He's a great rider and I feel a little sorry for him, things have always just not quite gone his way. Who could have guessed MM would have been so competitive in his rookie season? (Honda I guess ).

The Honda is probably the best overall package, so there would be no point to DP changing to a different team, but next year MM will be even harder to beat!

Always the bridesmaid never the bride.

Does anyone know what's happening with Scott Reading next season? I'd love to see him up there at the front battling with MM!!

He'll be on a Honda production racer with Honda Gresini. Not a bad option, at all. I'd really wish we could see some lap times from the Stoner test. All I heard was "It's worthy of rc213v times." out of Casey.

Some more drama out of the JLo garage ...

Not really sure how I feel about that. With how upset he is - I'm not sure it's just about the incident anymore or the way MM rides... I think it stings a little bit to be beaten by a rookie

And it's official - Gigi Dall'Igna is at Ducati.

I'm pretty sure Hayden will not be on an Aprilia next season now. I'm sure he'll be on the production Honda.
