Love the Ducati v Yamaha photo comparison, very amusing.

Also impressed with Smith, glad he's up there.

Only one test at one circuit but an interesting spread of times. Last year Stoner was way ahead but the rest of the guys were all tenths apart from each other. This year they are more in groups. The top seven are all within a second, then there's Bautista and everyone after him is over two seconds behind. That's a pretty big gap.

Riding styles are getting crazy. Forget knee and elbow sliders, these guys will need butt sliders soon.

So elbow knee and butt cheek sliders are the order of the day!

Can't wait for this season to start. Hoping for some good close racing this time around. Will be interesting to watch the rivalry between Lorenzo and Rossi. But there are others in the mix too, Pedrosa must fancy his chances this year and there are a couple of Brits in the mix that might take a win here and there

@ BadS1 thanks for the vid

Some interesting words from Rossi today...

“My past speaks for me, as with the Aprilia, Honda and Yamaha I have always been lucky enough to be on the right bike. I know how to win, but maybe in Ducati it was only me who knew how to.”

Doesn't seem like he mas many good memories from Ducati.

He was complementary to Lorenzo and Pedrosa though and had this to say about Marquez...

"I must admit that Márquez is the only rider in which I really see myself, and that's why even if he is my opponent, I see a lot of me in him."

I'd be pretty happy if I was Marquez.

Well, I really enjoyed the Qatar race. Awesome to see Rossi back in the action. After all the hype it was cool to get a last lap battle with Marquez and Rossi in the first race already.

It reminded me of watching Rossi of old....Crutchlow, Pedrosa and Marquez following each other around lap after lap and then Rossi catches them and slices right through all three of them in a couple of laps.

Amazing that Marquez can race at that level in his first race, not crash or even ruin his tires and drop off the pace at the end of the race.

was it me? or did it seem like to everyone else that even though they did form into their groups - all the factory boys seemed to stay somewhat close for a long time?
