yes it's the only filter. you can put a inline aftermarket filter if you need.

Ok thanks also was doing some maintenance checks and I noticed when I pulled out number 2 spark plug from the left-hand side had heaps of oil on the threaded part not good I'm guessing?

the head valve cover gasket (a round rubbers seal) in the specific plug well can cause this. you can check it by removing the plug cap. then if you look at the plug hole there's a rubber seal (black) around it. you can put your finger and check whether it has some oil stains. also if you can, check the bottom of the spark plug well if there's some oil collected.

are your spark plugs new? in my experience a very loose spark plug or a old spark plug which has a bad gasket (crush washer) to seal can cause this. i think it's not the oil but some combustion product almost like oil.

It definitely looked like oil to me but I'm not 100% sure does combustion product look like oil?'Im just hoping it's not the head gasket or piston rings? Yeah they are only 6 months old iridium plugs I looked inside the spark plug lead and it was very clean no oil or anything and the actual spark plugs look new a part from the oil

did you check inside the spark plug well where it's seated? i mean not inside the spark plug lead.
i found one of my plug was very loose and then i tightened the plug and the problem solved i could see some oil like thing on a part of my spark plug threads. that's why i suspect it was some combustion product or something and i'm not 100% sure.
since the electrodes are not fouled with oil i don't think it's the piston rings. valve cover gasket is different. it's not the head gasket. when u inspect the plug well you can clearly see that seal.

my experience is very little. someone can explain it more here are some experienced helpful members

when you look inside the plug well you can see a rubber seal like in this picture. you can inspect around that area for any oil leaks. also check the bottom of the plug well too.
