I'd look into the parts and accessories availabilty first. Some of these bikes can be hard to get stuff for, especially aftermarket goodies. You may not love the looks of the Ninja 250 but at least you can get stuff for it! Not to mention that you would be able to find used parts if you're ona budget. Also the Ninja would probably be easier to resell when you're ready for a different bike.

The new 2008 Ninja 250R is a hot looking bike. Wait till they come out and get one. The MSRP is like $3499.00 and the engine is the same great one they have had for years with a new HOT! look and 17" wheels.
