I agree 3rdgen...I hate the dentist. Everything either hurts or makes you gag. There is no happy medium. Apparently, there is a very high suicide rate among dentists per capita. I think it is because they spend all day causing pain and discomfort.

I'm supposed to have mine cut out in a few weeks. I'm already anxious, especially after reading this thread. I HATE the dentist!

I had my wisdom teeth cut out along with having my bi-cuspids pulled prior to getting braces, 8 teeth total. mind you, this was the tuesday before thanksgiving as well. they put me on oxygen and then used an IV and they said it was gonna burn a little then I would be out, well, i felt a burn and then I was out. woke up for like 10 seconds in the wheelchair, then was nautious as hell the rest of the day. if i tried to stand i got dizzy and sick. then once my face unswelled i got the pleasure of getting my braces on (i already had brackets when my teeth were pulled, but no wires yet).

as for the stitches, mine were disolvable, after a few days they went away....but i had dry sockets for like 6-9 months, and little flaps of skin around them.
