Winter Blues
Sounds nice, jules.
I'm not a huge fan of winter sometimes because i work outside a lot. Some mornings, I don't really feel like freezing my butt off.
However, I still don't mind the season. I like warm drinks, and having a fire burning in the fireplace. Plus, the wife wears sweaters and stuff, and sweaters are cool. It's like opening a christmas present.
Speaking of which, I like christmas, too. I get to spend time with family, drink a lot, and eat good food. Plus, the whole gift giving thing isn't too bad, either.
Winter also gives me a little more time to get some maintenance done on the bikes. I can fire up the garage heater and get chit done.
I also plan on having a much shorter off-season anyway, considering I've now got a heated jacket, UA ColdGear, insulated bibs, etc.

I still have my SuperDream ... I rebuilt it from the ground up, for kicks and because I just plain liked it ... I loved the sound of the superdreams with their stock exhausts, I have a picture somewhere of me with mine from when I was about 17 and a pic of it today against my RR :-) ... yes the bike is now 30 years old and I have had it for nearly 17 years :-)

That's a bike you'll never sell
I was given mine by1 of my da's m8's it was in a bit of a state, but with alot of love, sweat and swearing lol I got her stripped got everything gleaming (it's amazing what you can do with a dremel) and painted, brake's, forks, and engine all reconditioned, was def a good prject for my first, there was nothing too major I couldnt sort out myself, your right bout the sound of them they really have a lovely note outta them, kinda wish I didnt sell her now (I sold her for button's too)
I should still have the before during and after photos somewhere i'll take a look for them, would love to see your's ta bring a tear to my eye
I will see if I can dig them out ... I would say mine now is about 95% like new again and she's the 400N model, quite a bit more torque and driveability from the 250, the bike was always designed as a 400 apparently but for the UK because of our learner law they down sized the engine to 250 so it was a heavy bike for a 250 but our learners loved them because they were quite a big 250, and of course that lovely "Euro" styling, when I got mine the balance shaft chain had snapped due to a lack of maintenance so I had to completely tear the engine right down and replace it, also it had broken the "complex aluminium housing" that holds the crank etc from underneath, luckily got one from a breakers for peanuts :-) ..they have become quite rare now in nice condition and I don't think I will ever part myself from it now, it was my first real bike after my 50cc moped :-)
