What is with the harley guys on cell phones?
i pull out my phone at red lights too (when expecting call/text). i dont use it for talking but i can usually slip out a quick text at a red light, like to let someone know im almost to their house (example). its slightly difficult with gloves on a touchscreen but its do-able.

there are a few lights around here that are agonizingly long. so if i felt the phone vibrate in my pocket sometimes ill see who it was and if it was important enough for me to pull over and return the call. most times it isnt....lol
I will echo the OP in that I ride to get away from stuff. The phone rides in the back pack and might as well be made of unobtainium. Not saying that giving it a glance at a red light is a bad thing ... but you better be ready to hit the throttle when it goes green or expect some idiot like me to crawl yer case
most of the time, the cell phone is the last thing i pack/put into my pockets when i go for a ride. imo, the only reason to even have a cell phone while you're riding is just in case you go down or a buddy goes down and you have to call for help.
Most of my riding is for pleasure and the phone is the last thing on my mind. When I go on a long trip over 2 hours I take my blue tooth in case my family needs to reach me. I've heard of to many innocent people getting hurt because of the other people texting or on the phone. Johnnyh
lmao
Hey RS do you know where 104th and washington is?
I had a guy on an r1 pull up next to me in the double turn lane, take off his gloves, pull out his phone, and started texting while the light was red. lol
But on the other had seeing someone riding down the road taking a picture would be great! lol
