Daym Woody! It great to see that you are still surfing the forums. Seems like things could have been a lot worse than they are. That fourth pics is priceless, bike torn up with you and a crutch in the corner. The bike can be replaced and at least you are alive and can feel your legs. I think that my fear of being paralized out weighs dieing sometimes. Theres riders that have gone down, and theres riders that are going down...welcome to the club. Just keep popping the meds and take it easy.

Damn Woody! Just read this post, sorry to hear about the wreck. Glad to see you're up and about...kinda sorta. I kid you not, the hairs on the back of my neck literally stood up when I saw the pic of your back.
You are lucky to have gf there to help you out....much props to her. Good to hear insurance is helping out.
Take care of yo self!

Damn! Sorry to hear. Just to think I was ready to do the same thing yesterday while I was hittin the back roads. And it's because of stories like this I was like wait a minute I'm not gonna pass, something bad could happen (Any other given day I wouldn't have thought twice). So I just waited it out till they turned off and the road opened up to me safely. Really sorry again you went down. Most important...your alive. Wish you a speedy recovery and hope you'll be back on 2 wheels soon.

Holy Crap!! That is a wild story. The best part is you will walk again and didn't suffer any injuries that won't heal with time. Really sorry about the crash but you are sooooo lucky. You know, **** happens and most of us have been down. I've made some bad choices and paid forthem myself. I hope you heal quickly bro.

Ruthless, it's great to have reassurance there's riders out there consciously making wise choices. Good for you man. And the best part is that those cars turned off the road anyway. I can't help but think how different life would be right now if I would've done the same thing you did. Oh well, I believe most things happen for a reason and if this had to happen for me to see things under a different light, then it deff worked!
