well lookin at windscreens they are kinda pricey for what they are. and i dont think i like the aftermarket double bubble or toher screens that are bigger than stock. i looked at the puig and it seems like its not even a dark smoke. how would it look if i just did a good tint job of 5% on the back side of it? tell me what you think.

Ya know its a fine line there because as the saying goes...ya get what ya pay for.I just dont rememeber ever having a stock screen on my bike because the day i got it i ordered the Sportech Black Chrome for my 03...it just sets the whole bike off...i noticed people look at it more when they see that sweet *** screen not some dull clear stock bug shield..

im tellin ya save a few pennies here and there and buy a Sportech and everytime you shine it up youll be glad ya did....TRUST ME on that one..besides u have a long list of mods whats another 80 bux to finish it off..Afterall a aftermarket tinted screen is like having a great haircut..its what people see first..

 

i painted mine black and it looked great or paint it to match your bike, ive seen that done on some of my friends bikes and it looks great also, cheap and easy.[8D] then you got 60-80 bucks to buy somethin else. check out my pic in my gallery.

 

+1 on that idea. I also painted my screen this summer - looks bad *** for a $6 can of paint! I took someone elses advise (on this forum) and bought some high quality RC car paint (more durable/flexible than standard spray paint) to paint the back of my screen. The paint is a metallic silver and really looks good next to the silver front end - matches nearly perfect, looks a lot like the MotoGP bikes with the solid color up top. Just scuff the plastic with a fine grit sand paper and apply several coats... money well spent! I don't believe I have any pics in my gallery, but I can post some as soon as I am done with the move into a new house.
