That blows...7 over. Were you respectful and courteous to the officer? If so, I think you just got screwed. Sometimes it just happens....sorry man. Could've been that time when the LEOs all need to fill a certain quota so they'll pull anything.

That's a tough one, man. I have driven past so many cops at about ten over and have never been stopped. I have yet to do that on a bike, however (my good luck). Sometimes I look at the speedo, slow up, and thank God there wasn't a cop around. Can you go to traffic court and get rid of the ticket?

hey i speed religously. My thereory is this. Speed to what you can afford. My limit is 15 over. I have bought my way out of many a ticket for 15 and under. It really helps to get a lawyer and save your points. The fines not the killer it's when they up your insurance.

That cop must have been bored or something. I know most Michstate boysdon't usually come out for under 10, but local or campus cops have no such limitations. I'm always at the speed of traffic or at/below the speed limit when alone or in light traffic.

This post made me think of a King of the Hill episode where a school board had just dismissed and disregarded something Hank brought up for discussion and one of them said: "I motion to add the phrase 'fattie, fattie, boom-ba-lattie' to the list of 'unacceptable hate speech'". I know it's OT, but for some reason it reminded me of that. I have a stinking TV/Movie quote for just about anything... just ask my coworkers.
