Default RE: Speeding Tickets?

I have had 3. I got all of them on a brand new VFR750 back in 1987. One wreckless driving ticket for riding a wheelie, one for unsafe lane changes and a speeding ticket 76 in a 55. On the speeding ticket the cop actually had me at 110 in a 55 but gave me a breakandwrote the ticket for 76. Have not had any tickets on the bike since then.

none on the bike or the car..guess it helps when your mother is the Captian of the Sheriff's Dept=) but thats back home, here in Austin i could of got one on my bike for 56 in a 45 but the guy was a bike cop and he pulled me over and i said sorry i was just riding and feeling the road...he goes i know what you mean do me a favor and slow it down. I've seen him several times since then and if i see him first i wave and if he sees me first he waves..ive actually talked to him a few times since..he rides a BMW 1150 its a nice bike...on another note i had a state trooper follow me for 4 miles...i wasnt doing anything wrong...me and the wife were out riding..this F-350 blows past me ( im doing 60 in a 55) and a state trooper tops the hill im like gotcha...so the trooper flips around and comes hauling *** up..im like hes gonna pull over the ford..NOPE the cockbite whips in behind me and the wife and follows us for 4 miles while the F-350 is breaking the sound barrier..i was ticked!!

ORIGINAL: CBRCRF

We are in the middle of a huge speeding crackdown. They even spent tax payer money to put up a **** load of new signs to warn people about speeding. So because of that I follow the speed limit pretty close. If Im in the need for a little speed Ill head out to a few spots I like that have little or no traffic. Ill ride through doing the speed limit scouting for cops then turn aroundand cruse back through with a little speed. I dont want any speeding tickets! Butif I get one I deserve it.[&:]
+1...

Oh...since I have been riding streetbikes...last ticket I got was for speeding...have 2 overall.

Not bad for 17 years worth of street riding...

Jefferson County Judge in Alabama stated that anyone going over 100mph (car or bike) will automatically spend five days in jail. I thought to myself "I am safe as long as I stay in first gear"

I found this out during my mandatory court appearance for reckless driving. Thats another story and I don't want to bore you with the excuses. I will say that I am glad I hired an lawyer.
