ORIGINAL: VP

Must be different from mine...it's just a strap that slips off on the 954. Don't have one at all on the 1k.
My 954 has the same starp as my 929, it folds under the seat and bolts to the outside seat bolts..

I have it from the 954 right next to me, ill snap a pic of it

It's a long story, but someone tried to move the rear end of the bike using that strap. It's freezing temps here and it stayed streched out. I'm thinking if I wet it down and let it sit in the sun it might go back to shape, otherwise I'm pulling it off (which might look better anyway?) Actually...never thought of removing it on my old bikes.

Thats what I figured... the only thing I have found that strap useful for is for cops to leave parking tickets under...

I use it to get up on the center stand and sometimes to control it as I back it out of the garage...

In some states I know you won't pass inspection without it, you may want to check that.

Humm...I'll look into this for sure. Also, someone yanked the heck out of it too...so it's streched out a bit.
Yeah came out of work one day and mine was all stretched out too, like someone was trying to break into the "trunk"... not sure why only thing they could steal out of that little thing is a pack of cigarettes.. But anyways some time and some rain and some temperature changes and its back to about how it was new
