im sure someone somewhere has done it. whats your intent, to clean up the back of the bike a bit? i guess it could look a little better/sleeker w/o it. but if you're going for cleaning up the tail, a solo cowl would do the trick, but i understand they're pricey.

I rewrapped my rear seat in matching colors, but when i removed the old skin i took the starp off first and it had a visible line where it was.
If its anything like mine though, it was only 2 bolts and could be taken on & off in minutes, Try it

Humm...I'll look into this for sure. Also, someone yanked the heck out of it too...so it's streched out a bit.

How did someone stretch it? Did they use it to pivot the bike on the sidestand?

Must be different from mine...it's just a strap that slips off on the 954. Don't have one at all on the 1k.

As said, you wil probably have a line where it use to be. I use mine to hold my hat, but if yours is streched out, then I would probably remove it too.

Did you remove it? My bike has it on.
