What's with people that don't buckle their helmets...
I dunno about you guys, but there seems to be a lot of people around here that don't have driver's licenses much less motorcycle permits and they think wearing a helmet will keep them out of trouble...
and some of these folks don't buckle their ****. What's up with that. If you were going out of your way to fake it, why wouldn't you want the benefit of wearing it.. Plus, I would think you wouldn't be able to go as fast as you would if you had buckled it, but that's just me.

I've done it, usually by accident, till I'm reminded by the whiplash of it slapping into my throat at 60. Trying to strap it at in 60+ mph winds with leather gloves on is always a treat.
On a side note, a lil disapointed by the actual convo topic after seeing that header.......
I was hoping it'd be a discussion about strapon tank bags for those of us with plastic tanks. Just ordered one and hoping it turns out ok when it gets here.

I seen some chav scooter boy in town the other day. He was just about to ride off with his lid undone. He actually tried to stop it from slapping his neck, which leads me to believe that he wasnt arsed that it was undone.
I "made like a copper" and gestured to him that he needs to do it up. He did, i felt all authoritative.
Maybe i should have left him alone, one less chav on the road etc etc

Also a little disappointed with the topic lol i have a buddy that never straps his, drives me insane people dont realize the force a helmet takes in a accident, when i whiplashed myself into the asphalt some years ago the strap actually left a nasty red welt across the bottom of my chin which turned into a nasty black bruise for 3 weeks following
