Is it a must appear citation? Should be written on the citation somewhere as MA

If you were doing 120 mph, why did you stop?!?!? Here, in CT, cops will not chase over 100 mph...anyways, better to be safe than sorry, most the time.
Here in columbus, anyone going that fast they don't chase: They call out the big guns. My best friend's dad is a pilot for the CPD and anyone spotted driving at ludicrous speeds is a required dispatch call to the chopper.

Speaking of which, one of my co-workers got busted doing 105 in the 65 a couple of months ago in his M3. The chopper was the one who made the call. It's easy to spot a speeding car form the air (15 years of flying experience). They cuffed his *** and took him to jail.

Good luck with that. [sm=chairshot.gif]

First of all, I didn't "offer" anything. I asked a question. I did not make a statement.

It's the first thing that came to my mind, and IF I EVER went 120 past a cop, it would probably be harder for me to stop than just keep going. But I go on to say that "it's better to be safe than sorry..." Sounds to me like I never said anything about def not stopping.

And as far as I know, they don't use choppers to bust speeders here in CT. I have friends who are cops in this state and they say it's better to stop, but if you don't they are not going to waste their time chasing something they can not catch and risk a life for speeding. Now, if they get your plate number, they will be waiting in your driveway when you get home and deal with you then. The cops I know say that most the time they pull a bike over, if the bike stops, they just make sure the paperwork is in order and send them on their way, and you have to be doing wheelies or riding like a total jerk off to get pulled over here. If you run, they will get you eventually and stick it to you. In my personal opinion, it's better to stop. (There's a statement that can't be misunderstood.)

And just for the record, I have never run from the cops in my life. I have nothing but respect for law enforcement and I have never had a problem with anyone with a badge.

I got one for 22 over two weeks ago in Indiana going to Chicago, in a car. I didn't realize the speed limit went down to 55 from 70. Trooper said I'd get something in the mail in 4-6 weeks so we'll see what happens. I know in Ohio 20+ is an automatic court appearance.
