Out of state ticket.
At that speed you have no option. You have to go to court. Just be thankful they didn't take youdown townright then and there. Expect to see some heffty fines and a possible suspension.
If you are required to appear in court, I would seriously consider a lawyer. I also HIGHLY recomend a lawyer from that area because they have networked with the locals running the courts. That and you won't have to pay their to and from travel time.
As far as I know what i've "heard" is when you get a ticket in another state the points don't count on your state issued license. But this is just what i've heard. Also, i'm usually talking about 10-20mphs over, not anything that bad.
You're lucky you weren't in Ontario Canada doing that. up here if you're caught 50KM over the limit its vehicle impoundment for 7 days, 60 days license suspension, and a fine (min $2000 max $10,000).
You would have been about 85KM over the limit so you probably would have been fined somewhere in between the min and max fine.

I got a wreckless drivivng ticket and I got a lawyer. about $1000 later, I was off to a "safety class" and my record stayed clean.
I am just glad nobody is giving out stupid advice, like "never stop for cops". I am glad you stopped and your safe. Good luck with the system.
Also, here is some online advice about "beating your speeding ticket". It might be worth a look <click here>

Ok, so here it is...because it's the first thing I thought...
If you were doing 120 mph, why did you stop?!?!? Here, in CT, cops will not chase over 100 mph...anyways, better to be safe than sorry, most the time.
And the thread title should say "Out of State Summons" because if you HAVE to go to court, it's like a light arrest. Officer was probably at the end of his shift or something or a biker himself. Spend the $ and get a lawyer...that's reckless driving.

It's called a "custodial arrest," when you are stopped by a LEO for any lawful (or unlawful) reason.
The signature on the ticket is in lieu of a cash bond, meaning you're signature, as far as the issuing agency is concerned, is as good as cash. Don't **** that up.
You've had plenty of good advice given here, get your butt to court and ignore the idea of not stopping. I can't seriously believe jfunk offered that.
