That's why I pay more for Progressive. I waited approx 44 hours for my check on my last totaled car. Crashed Sat afternoon, put in the claim online, and had a check in hand Monday at noon. They take care of business.

Yea progressive seems pretty good... that's who I have now for my car and bike. Back in '05 I wasn't dealing with my ins though, I filed a claim through the other guys ins co since it was his fault and all. It was a company vehicle (tow truck), and they had GMAC. After that experience I will never in my life use or recommend to my worst enemy using GMAC insurance!! My god that lady was such a BITCH!!!! I got into a couple arguments with her, then she hung up on me... stupid bitch [:@]

But when I got rear ended by the old guy back in March, he had Progressive and it was a night and day difference. They took care of everything pronto, offered a rental car, got the bike fixed no prob.... it all went very smoothly and without any problems. The lady was very friendly and helpful too.... I was quite suprised, especially after my last insurance claim experience [:-]

At first I was going to say go with option 3, but the more I think about it go with fixing it yourself.

I have progressive for the bike and Nationwide for the car and truck and I saved aobut $300.00 by swtiching the bike to progressive.

Good luck with the fix man.
