1st....this is not a mileage bragging thread, just a simple question....


i was curious what ON AVERAGE people put on their bikes in one year. i know its kinda vague, but i just was wondering b/c i have had my bike for 10 months and i have put 19k miles on it.

so for someone riding in one season, on average what do they put on a bike?

 

Iave about 20-25k a year, depending on when the snow melts, and when the snow starts

 

i got mine new in late july and rode it during our drought almost every day until it got too cold (around early Novemberish)
i've got about 6200 on it now

 

Never get alot of time to take long rides. On average I put aroung 8-12K a year and I ride all year long, wish I could ride more but I have other responsibilities that need me. I used to put about 20K a year.

Mines an 06 with 11000+, so maybe 100 miles per week or so.

 

i think in the summer i was averaging around 2k miles a month. now that its winter im getting about 1.5k a month.

 

2k a month in the riding season easy. Nothing right now, F***ing Ohio. Won't ride again till probably mid-March, maybe April. I won't even drive my nice car in the salt, let alone ride my bike. Probably 12-15k a year depending on weather.

 

Since I've had my bike I've ranged from just over 31,000/yr (1st year), to just over 38,000/yr (3rd year). The 2nd year I think was around 34-35k. I've never exactly been considered normal though by most semi-sane people


10-15k always seems to be about the norm, it seems, both here and a few other forums I frequent
