Default Mileage question

I used to have a Ninja 250 as my first back when I lived in Texas. Now that I moved to Cali and sold that one I am looking to get a CBR 600 F4.

Only question I have is whats the average amount of miles CBR 600's last for? Or for that matter whats the avg. mileage for 600's in general? I always thought 600's last only about 15K at most even without beating it up all the time, but a salesperson at a bike shop told me they can last up to 50K with all the maintenance done and fairly conservative riding.

How accurate is this statement?

Ive seen 600's with 100K on them.. They should last way longer than 15k if they are properly maintained

95k and still counting for thirdgenlxi and i believe all he does is regualr maintenance.. im sure he will chime in.
but my buddy has a stunt f4i.. used and abused, and it was still going after 38k miles other than the clutch.. but that was from stunting not normal riding.

38k miles of stunting has got to be worse than 100k regular miles.

cbr's are strong and good for an easy 100k if you do all the required maintenance and don't beat on her every ride.

Thats really good to hear because I have been shying away from the bikes over 9,000 miles or so. That means I can get a bike for a little cheaper than what I thought I could.

ha ya, the f4i stunt bike my friend had. went thru a couple clutches, due to riding the crap outta it and just dumping the clutch a bunch. layed down a good amount, new fairings, clutch, cct, frame sliders, and windscreen and its good as new

that salesperson at the bike shop should be fired for being negligent. He had to have been new, or is just a shady salesman like all the other ones trying to tell people they need a new bike when you hit 15k, what a joker. 50k plus easy with regular maintenance and a hell of a lot more potential as well
