Low mileage question
There's a 2000 F4 for sale just a few minutes away from me and the price seems pretty good for the mileage, I was just wondering if I should stay away because the mileage is so low which probably means it's been sitting? It has 2,400 miles. He said it has a little trouble gettin past 800 so it needs a carb service. Could anything else cause this?

RE: Low mileage question
I agree, it probably is the carbs. But it could be even simplier, like a mouse nest in the airbox. If the price is right, I would be thrilled to find a bike like that, providing all else is good and like new. Of course, I am able to do all my own work as well. It would just be a nice Sat. afternoon "go over" for me.

RE: Low mileage question
It's up for $4300 OBO I'm heading out to go take a look now and will go again Saturday with a buddy who has been riding for a while to double check anything before I make a final decision. Thanks for the replies! He said 800 rpm is where its sticky.
*edit* Just got back from checking out the bike and damn you could eat off that thing! I have a feeling you guys are right and I'll probably be picking it up.
