Default Long ride

I went and picked up the girlfriend on the bike today and we rode about an hour and 15 minutes away to a place called Carter Caves.

Its a nice place, I've been there a few times, it was her first though. We went on a tour of the Cascade cave. No matter which way you drive into this place Its wonderful twisties for miles!!! but its especially nice if you go the way we went (from north to south)
Anyway I noticed that my a$$ goes numb when she's on the back. I think its where she she keeps her knees pressed into my sides, it makes me want to sit real still and not disturb her ride but wow it starts to hurt after a while..... Does anyone else notice this with a chick on the back?

Pillions always push you more forward, so that your riding position, legs & feet to the pegs is out. Happens partially because of the seat setup & the pillion is more comfortable in the part of the seat (padding gets thinner the further back & because of the pipe, not much leg room) & a lot of learner pillions are reluctant to correct their seating position on the move.
Get used to it, as they get more confident, the ride may get more comfortable, but at least its now cozy.
Looks like a great place to ride

Yeh, Cozy is good on short rides....lol

It is a great area to ride. The traffic is never bad, the roads are good. Anyone planning a trip to this area I highly recommend it on a bike. Here is a map of the area, looks like they smoothed the curves out for the map cause they are much better than the appear here but you get the idea....

Since my wife has her own bike, she's rarely on the back of mine. So when she is, I enjoy it...crapped seating or not. Seriously though, yeah, it changes my seating position & my back/neck tends to start hurting but I never say anything.

my wrists/shoulders hurt more when I have a passenger, my knees hurt more when I'm riding alone.

Yea I can't say I ever had any problems like that.. and like said above my wrists and shoulders get a bit sore due to the added weight thru the turns and what not.

My girlfriend and I took a long ride one time. It was a trip from DC to Charlotte, NC. I gotta say, my bum, shoulders, and wrists were spent by the time we got there. She was worse off than me though, she was walking like she had been ridden hard . But yes, I have the same issue of getting sore sooner than later when there is a passenger.
