Default Long Ride

Hey I'm going the distance here. I'm taking a ride from Va to Texas, so if you see a tribal on the road with the rider in a green flight suit.......Be nice and wave. Does anybody have any pointers for a long ride like this? I'm actually going to make a few stops in between and I have all my safety gear. So hit me up!

Good Luck..and remember these little long distance tricks...if you need to lube your chain, go to the trash can at a gas station and there is usually enough oil in the discarded bottle of motor oil to lube your chain..it is messy, but is better than no lube if you forgot yours...

And here is another little trick..if you are going to pack a second faceshield for your helmet, put it a tube sock ( there always seems to be an extra while doing the laundry) and it will kep it safe and scratch free...been doin it for years

plastic bags from the grocery store make excellent "waterproof socks" when worn over your socks and in your boots if you get caught in the rain

If possible, wear headphones in your helmet. The constant hum is not only boring, but can be VERY dangerous on long trips. Music gives you something to listen to and also blocks some engine noise.
