I have a Nano and I just clip it to my belt when I ride and Ive never had any problems...
ita a flash player... strap it on a bike and trow it of a clif and it will still play.

the zun is a hard drive player and it works fine with u becouse u are not using it the way he is. strap it to your bike and see what happens.

mine did the same thing but not on my bike finally it would just freeze up and just not work till the battery died and i would reset and freeze i sent in to this place and they told me the logic board fried replaced it and now its fine if your interested inthe place let me know i will give you the web address

I have an old Ipod color and I just put it in my inside jacket pocket without problems. I make playlists for riding and have a small volume conltoll that I velcro to my helmet hooked up to some chatterbox earphones. works great!
