Instead of buying the ipod movies from itunes, is there a freeware program that can convert my DVD's to the mpeg-4 format to play on ipod?

Yeah, I did, but they'll only convert like 5-10 minutes of video while on the trial period. I'm looking for total freeware that actually works well.

 

Well in this situation you get what you pay for, make sure its a legit program and company

 

I had to buy the full prog for my Zune but i have CuCu Soft...works wonderful and converts fast...

Exception piece of software. I've converted all my DVD's to the iPod videos so far. It's about 500MB for a 1.5 hour movie...........700MB for a 2 hour movie. Best way to do it is get an external hardrive and back all the movies up there.

www.download.com search. and yea there is many many programs that will do it. seeing that buy the question u know vary little about converting movies u should get a easy program

edit # 2: o wait u want to back up like dvd movies(like saw3 or something?) then u need a decrypter
