i got one from my wife for christmas and have it "jailbroken" its incredible what this "ipod" can do. just wondering if you have yours done at all i cant remember who had it?

 

I got one from my girlfriend for christmas. I also jailbroke mine. There are a ton of things you can play with and change. I've got a bunch of apps and some themes installed, but constantly learning more about its capabilities.

What is this "jailbroke" you guys are speaking off?

basically a "jailbroke" ipod is hacked.

it allows you to put an installer on your iPod which in turn allows you to install apps, games, themes, and customize your iPod. It's really simple. I downgraded my firmware to 1.1.1 and then you just go to a specific web site using your iPod and click a button. thats all there was to it really.

 

Yep, I have the 16GB version. Best iPod I've ever had (can't wait until the iPhone gets a larger capacity, then it's upgrade time for me.)

 

The Touch Ipod can go on the internet? Or is has to be "jailbroken" or whatever?

 

It has built-in WiFi.

 

Yep. All the websites load up exactly as they appear on the "real" internet. It makes it nice to check e-mail and quickly browse a site when you are in a hot-spot, or if there's wi-fi near by.

 

yeah so far on my touch i have....

1300 songs with full album art
3 movies
15 music videos

Internet via wifi

then jailbraking gave me....the installer, and i have set up, gmail, weather, stocks, google maps, summerboard themes (like 40 themes) customized icons, sliders, battery symbols etc, books: the bourne trilogy books, the golden compass book and rainbow six book, lookinf for more. Guitar hero (TTR), a NES emulator with 300 games, Gameboy advance emulator with 10 games, Playstation 1 emulator, minesweeper, slot machine, yatzee, iphysics, labyrinth, sketches, IM, wifi stumbler, and some more. god this is the coolest ipod so far. yeah i have the 16gb one.

 

I may have to look into one of these.Only problem is I want to spend every dollar on my bike.
