Default Insurance question...

I'm really close to paying off my car then i can buy a bike, i got hit by some kid about month ago in my car and his insurance is sending me a check to fix the damage..i could give a hoot what my car looks like not much damage, i want a bike, old bike stolen 7 months ago[:@],would i get in trouble if i paid the car off with the insurance check instead of fixing it?

not sure if you could get in trouble but i know a friend of mine got rear-ended n used the money for other purposes, nothing happened to him

If I am not mistaken, you can't get in trouble for it. The money is paid to you for you to use at your disposal as long as it isn't made out to any one specific. You should have no problem. Went through that one, and got body work, paint, and a couple of extras all thanks to GMC Insurance. LOL!

you wont get into trouble, getting a bike is way more important then making your car look any better.

I decided to leave the small dent in my car but I sure do enjoy my new laptop that I am using to type this message :-)

I love you guy's! [8D] thanks for the advice! I dont know what has me more anxious being done with my 4 years of car payments or getting back on a bike my own after 7 months...wait ya i do i miss riding....Cavalier = 0-45mph in a minute and a half[:@][:@][:@]
