I need help.
I had a good friend in high school that was in the same boat, and it took at lot of professional help to help him kick it. I would suggest at least getting friends or family involved to help you. And as for the getting high.....Ive done a lot of drugs and nothing gets me higher than riding man, nothing even compares. once im on the road its just nonstop adrenaline rush. Also, kick it while you can, If you let it control you it can end up getting you in a lot of trouble and destroying your credibility/reputation with the law and in the work place.
Good luck man, I wish the best for you!

When i had my bike..i had 2 bottles of this stuff sitting in my room..NEVER touched it. i admit riding is a better "high" but i just dont have that option anymore..I havent taken ANY since i posted this! at work last night.. i ended up on the ground just shaking and freaking out. i went to my car..grabbed the bottle..but i noticed as i grabbed it..i really didnt feel bad...almost like i tricked myself? just the thought that i was going to get some made me better..so i tossed the bottle in the back seat and made it through work. came home, slept. feel good now. bottle is still sitting in the back of my car. I got something else prescribed that is saposed to have a much much lower abuse rate(little to none) called gabapentin or something..took it. dont feel "high" or anything like that. but and mostly pain free. i think this will do it for me. Im just scared when surgery rolls around. last time they gave me percocet. and that got me hooked more thn anything. then hydro. im going to try this other stuff after before i try the hydro. again.
did you tell your doc? I am glad they put you on something else, docs are not stupid (well most of them arent) and if they prescribe something to you that they know is addicting they are not going to look down on you for getting addicted. and they are not going to tell you to just stop.
I went through this a little when i broke my leg, they gave me oxycodone with achetaminaphine in it. basically generic percocet from what i understand.
they felt good, i wasnt to the point you are at, but i was definatly headed there, i havent had any for a year and a half, and still the thought of them gets me excited.
if you doc is good he will work with you.
just keep in mind, you are going to need something for the pain after surgery. I tryed to stop taking them soon after my surgery because i was so drowsy i couldnt function, as soon as it wore off the pain kicked in double time. they don't give that stuff to you for ****s and giggles, it does serves a purpose.

Well i decided i am going to take them after surgery, im going in for the same thing as kamakazi stated. for the second time..He will tell you how much hell you go through for the first week or two..you really do need them then. But i am not going to take any untill then. i think i finally kicked it. You guys are my family, and you really have helped me once again. i would like to thank each and every one of you. You very well could have saved my life. im going to flush the hydrocodone down the toilet when i get them out of my car. man..hopefully life goes uphill now...i can only hope. Thanks guys.
Haha nauree. i thought about it..but they are worth $4 a pill here.and if i get caught i get like 5-25 years. not worth it for $40 all together.
//EDIT
Also..Sorry for the bad advice I gave you bro. I didn't realize how much it really affected someone. Hope you are doing good as well.

Having someone to be accountable too helps a little. So how is your journey going bro ? It's been a bit since you posted about this. I have stayed true to myself since September the 6th, im drug free still and it gets easier every day still. Im sitting here drinking some Joose's (first time i drank anything in over a year) feeling pretty good and thought about this thread for some reason. Hoping your doing alright with your vicodin addiction. I found for myself atleast that now that i don't even hang with the same people i was when i was druggin im not nearly as tempted as i was and the amount of money im saving every single day is enough reason in itself for me to not go back. I hope your doing good also bro.
