I just bought a new 06' CBR 600 RR in NY, I live in NJ. When I went to register the bike I was told I couldn't do it without the title, the dealer said they send it to Albany and Albany would send it to me. My temp plate runs out first week of June. Is this how it supposed to work, I thought I could use the bill of sale to register the bike. Does anyone have any suggestions?

 

It varies greatly from state to state. In Ohio you can't register without the title or the memorandum title (which is a copy of the actual title that your lien-holder will send you).
